Did you know, what is the Morphology?

In this special chance, let me share a bit about Morphology. Before that, I will tell you some information about Syntax. Syntax is a part of Linguistics. And then, what is Linguistics?
So,
Linguistics is a branch of knowledge that study about language also known as a scientific study of language.
Syntax is belongs to linguistics, the simple definition is the study about the sentences structure.

Next, back to the main topic. Morphology is the study about word formation or the structure of words. Inside the morphology, there are several point that must we learn. Let's chek this one:

Morpheme
Morpheme is a meaningful linguistics unit consisting of a word or word element that cannot be  divided into smaller meaningful parts. A morpheme is the smallest or minimum unit of meaning. For example: dog, chair, apple.
A morpheme can divided into several classification, there are:
1. Free morpheme, it is a morpheme that can appear as a word by itself, but usually combine with another morpheme too. e.g: agree, chair.
2. Bound morpheme, it, is a morpheme that cannot appear as a word by itself. e.g: agreement, chairman.
3. Allomorphs, is a variant from morphemes about the pronouncation of the words. e.g: the horse that must be read the horses.

About Affix and Root
Affix is a bound morpheme that appear before or after the base word. Affix divided into some classification:
Prefix (before the base word), e.g: un for unconditional
Infix (in the middle of the base word)
Suffix (after the base word), e.g: tion for affection
Circumfix (combine the prefix and suffix), e.g: dis and ation for disorientation

Root 
- base word only: kind
- (prefix + base word) only: unkind
- (base word + suffix) only: kindness
Form by word: unkindness
